Challenge & Vision
Sol Ritual was born from a deeply personal journey into self-regulation and well-being, inspired by years of Kriya Yoga practice and high-intensity group dance.
Recognizing that traditional meditation and breathwork can feel unrewarding for beginners, I conceived Sol Ritual to merge these ancient practices with immersive technology and joyful physical movement. The goal was to create a multi-sensory experience designed to induce specific physiological and emotional states, culminating in the dopamine reward stimulated by aerobic activity, thereby validating and reinforcing the more subtle benefits of mindfulness.
This project represents a personal passion to bridge ancient wisdom with modern science and immersive art to expand human potential.

Approach & Experience Design
As the Designer and Producer of this passion project, I spearheaded every aspect of Sol Ritual, from its initial multi-year conceptualization to its rapid prototype realization at a small immersive venue. My approach included:
• Philosophical Design: Grounded in ancient Yoga systems and informed by direct study with a Himalayan Vedic Monk, the experience was meticulously designed to "hack the science of perception." The visual arc mimicked the shift from pre-dawn to full daylight to stimulate dopamine release, while a secondary visual journey through the ROYGBIV (Chakra-aligned) spectrum within minimalistic, James Turrell-inspired temple environments activated subtle energies during the yoga practice.

• Multi-Sensory Integration:
• Sound Design: Employed specific Om chanting frequencies (e.g., 98Hz for heart connection, 174Hz for emotional release) in sound baths to support traditional meditation and pranayama, and 528Hz for muscular relaxation during yoga.
• Visual Content: Created and refined all visual content using an advanced AI workflow, designing visuals that encouraged the physiological and emotional journey.
• Spatial Design: Transformed the physical space (a 180-projection volume with an LED floor) into a soothing Himalayan cave for meditation, subtly transitioning to a starfield upon awakening to validate the transformative power of practice.
• Journey Mapping: Designed a precise experience flow grounded in scientific research: from a pre-dawn cool-light entry into a soothing cave for breathwork and a sound bath meditation, then into therapeutic vinyasa yoga matched with a soothing score, culminating in a high-intensity group dance to Latin/Brazilian samba music, to stimulate dopamine and reduce cortisol.
• Holistic Management: Managed all aspects of the prototype, including:
• Content Development: Curated and licensed audio tracks from Hansavedas meditation fellowship.
• Production & Technical Oversight: Managed the technical setup and execution within the immersive venue.
• Sales & Marketing: Applied advanced branding strategies (including A/B testing branding designs with target demographics based on prior branding agency experience) and cutting-edge sales & marketing techniques learned from a top industry coach.
• Instruction: Personally led all three segments for the initial prototype, then quickly transitioned to a collaborative leadership model by inviting diverse female and POC experts to lead sections, fostering an inclusive environment.
Results & Impact (Prototype)
The Sol Ritual prototype garnered overwhelmingly positive feedback, confirming its potential to create unique and impactful wellness experiences:
• Profound Participant Engagement: Attendees found the experience "incredibly relaxing" and cited it as one of the "most interesting and impactful classes" they had taken.
• Qualitative Validation: Participants reported feeling "more grounded," "more relaxed," and "more motivated to practice again at home," with one noting, "The grounding experience really helped me get into my body," and another highlighting the effectiveness of the breathwork in a distraction-free environment.
• Demonstrated Market Potential: The successful prototyping and positive reception validates the innovative blend of wellness practices, immersive technology, and commercial viability, laying the groundwork for future development.
